Engelberg-Titlis is one of the largest winter vacation destinations in Central Switzerland. The 3239 meter high glacier and local mountain Titlis guarantees snow until well into spring and has pretty much everything to offer in terms of skiing. The sporty slopes and a high degree of snow safety make the Engelberg-Titlis region the ideal venue for the alpine competitions at the Military World Winter Games. In addition, Engelberg-Titlis is the venue for annual competitions in alpine sports and the local sports clubs have a great deal of experience in planning and staging winter sports events. The organizing committee of the fifth CISM Military World Winter Games is therefore working closely with the local sports clubs and the national ski association Swiss-Ski.
High up on the Jochpass, the athletes will be sent out onto the slopes during the CISM Military World Winter Games. The races are finished directly in front of the Bärghuis Jochpass.
